Legal Advocacy Fund Contribution Guidelines

Make all checks payable to AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund and give to the branch LAF chair/VP for remitting.

Contributions may be charged to credit cards by using the Donor form and they will be processed by LAF.

DO NOT SEND CASH.

Do not send donations to the LAF office in Washington, DC., even when you receive solicitation letters, as funds must go through the Sacramento office for members to be given donor recognition by California.

LAF is a 501(c)(3) and as such all contributions are tax-deductible. These monies must be received by AAUW-California no later than December 1. Late submissions may not be credited in the calendar year in which they are given.

Only major donations ($100 or more) are acknowledged by the LAF through a letter and a pin.
